An alaia is a finless wooden board used by the ancient Hawaiians to ride waves, paving the way for modern day surfing. What better way to trace your roots and draw a different line than ever before! We use  Paulownia wood for all our blanks. While Paulownia wood is strong and lightweight, its main characteristic lies in its resistance to salt water, making it the perfect wood for Alaia surfing.
